Amber Zuniga (a.k.a. Chromosapien) has been a DIY crafter most of her life. From helping her great aunt plant veggies on the farm as a toddler to learning cross stitching at the age of seven, everything had more meaning when a creative project was involved. Art class was the daily highlight at school, and luckily Amber was able to graduate from Arts Magnet High School in downtown Dallas as a visual art major. After a few years of college Amber met her Dreamboat, got married, and had a baby (all that fast!) Art was put on a back burner until Dreamboat, proving to be her biggest fan, encouraged her to start a business selling her crafty goods.At the time, Amber was the house artist for a couple of local restaurants, but knew it would be a challenge to run a business on top of taking care of a house with three kids, three dogs, AND working part time. Little by little, she came to open her shop on Etsy (with six items to start), and now this website.

Amber is a Dallas Craft Mafia member who makes ceramics, fused glass, jewelry, candles, magnets, and sewn items which are inspired by pin-ups, old school tattoo art, Asian art, retro/mod design, Catholic icons, bright colors (esp. red and chartreuse), and old school punk. Ideas are always running through her mind for the next projects, and she cranks them out as time allows. Just keep checking out the site for new pieces. All are made of quality materials: Sterling and fine silvers, and semiprecious stones for the jewelry are used. The candles are at least 50% soywax and pure essential oils shipped straight from a local herb farm. Only Bullseye Glass is used for the fused glass pieces.
